Well everything went well with the parental meeting. Matt didn't tell his parents that I had gone over to their house when they were out of town about a week earlier. I mean nothing happened that night between us other than watching the Triplets of Bellville, but I understood the fear of his parents when I met them. Talk about conservative Catholics. So I pretended like I'd never been there and blah blah blah...

I'm really glad that I remembered all those stupid prayers from when I went to St. Joesph's Church. Matt was put through St. Joesph's catholic school up through 8th grade. Yeah.....so they did the prayer from our church but I haven't gone back to that damn church since I was 14 or 15. He's not religious himself but since his parents are paying for his college he gives them the impression they want. Their house is really nice. It's in a kinda richy neighborhood. Every room is interior decorated by his mom and their garden took them about 7 years to do and its fucking amazing. Talk about having too much time on their hands. His mom was the least scary of the two and after dinner she asked if I wanted coffee (god I really needed it to calm my nerves) go-go coffee addicts alike! So her and I drank coffee and talked alittle more. Then Matt and I went to see The Terminal starring Tom Hanks. It was very well done, having been based off a true story of a middle eastern man stuck in an airport for nearly a year. The only big difference was that in real life it took place in France. Spielburg did a great job with the movie.

Afterwards we went back to my place and talked. He said that his parents were probably just happy that he had a girlfriend and wasn't gay. Speaking of gay, I asked if he'd go up to seattle to see Chibi and Tsu for Gay and Lesbian Pride weekend. He said he'd seriously think about it. He's doesn't condemn being gay which is nice, because if he did, I'd have to kick his ass, hahha. Its so funny when very conservative religious parents pop out with a very non-religious liberal child. My parents are pretty cool about everything. I mean yeah, my mom's crazy and is a benedictine oblate, but she knows that I go to pride weekend each year and thinks that its great. My dad is not very religious but is becoming a little more so, but he's liberal and thinks I'm a bit strange going to pride weekend but he's never really cared. I mean I can talk about with my dad about anything and everything. I mean its great not having to keep secrets about my relationship with my parents. They know that I've invited him to go with me next weekend and they think that its great that he'll go with me. I mean nothing crazy will happen with us, we're finally now comfortable enough to hold hands in public. But yeah...thats about the extent of our public affections.

Even if he can't go with me this weekend since we don't get to spend too much time together more than a few hours, I'm going to stay behind if he does. Next weekend is also the yearly Renaissance festival. So we could always go to that and see our friend Tegan, (that we both know from theatre,) belly dance. Maybe then we'll all go bowling or something. It'll be fun no matter what he decides...Although I'd really like to go to pride again. Lots of staight couples go to pride each year to suppose their friends or family. Matt's never had curry before and Tsu and Chib live right behind a curry resturant and I want to take him. Oh well, we'll find out the answer later this week.

Stay tuned for the next exciting entry of Kato's lovelife.
